About me

My name is Ludovic Parsons and I’m a freelance journalist focusing on LGBTQ+ rights, politics and culture.

I have 12 years experience working in the British media, including staff roles as an investigative reporter at the Bureau of Investigative Journalism and the gender and identity correspondent at PinkNews. I’m currently the lead investigative journalist at QueerAF.

Since 2022 I’ve been freelance, with bylines for British publications including the Big Issue, Condé Nast Traveller, Cosmopolitan Magazine, the Evening Standard, the Guardian, GQ, the i Paper, and Vogue. I do more specialised reporting about trans issues and the anti-trans movement for LGBTQ+ media including Attitude Magazine, Gay Times and Them.

I’m also an independent consultant to and board member of Trans Lives CIC, a community project working to end preventable deaths of trans people in the UK.

I regularly speak about my work, LGBTQ+ journalism and community-led reporting at conferences, for university students and in the media.
