About me

My name is Ludovic Parsons and I’m a freelance journalist focusing on LGBTQ+ rights, politics and culture.

I have 12 years experience working in the British media, including as an investigative reporter at the Bureau of Investigative Journalism and the gender and identity correspondent at PinkNews. I’m currently the lead investigative journalist at QueerAF.

Since 2022 I’ve been freelance, with bylines for outlets including the Big Issue, Condé Nast Traveller, Cosmopolitan Magazine, the Evening Standard, the Guardian, GQ, the i Paper, and Vogue. I do more specialised reporting about trans issues and the anti-trans movement for LGBTQ+ media including Attitude Magazine, Gay Times and Them.

I also work with community projects as a researcher, media consultant and editor. I’m an independent researcher and board member for Trans Lives CIC, which is working to end the preventable deaths of trans people in the UK. In 2024, I worked with Bureau Local (part of the Bureau of Investigative Journalism) on a community-led investigation into the impacts of political transphobia called Trans+ Voices.

I regularly speak about my work, LGBTQ+ journalism and community-led reporting at conferences, for university students and in the media.
